About the Journal
Tabéq: Journal of Local Wisdom, Belief, and Peace is a multidisciplinary scientific journal published by the Tabéq Institute: Center for Culture and Cross-Religious Studies in Indonesia. This journal serves as an academic space for exploring and engaging in dialogue about the values of religion, culture, and social life within the context of pluralistic societies, both locally and globally.
The journal publishes research articles, conceptual studies, and critical reflections that focus on issues such as religious and cultural diversity, local religious traditions, interfaith practices, inclusive religious narratives, and the relationship between religion, local wisdom, and social transformation. With the spirit of "Bridging cultures, connecting faiths, cultivating peace", the journal encourages scholarly contributions that promote tolerance, peace, and social justice based on spirituality and culture.
Tabéq Journal is open to academics, researchers, students, and practitioners from various disciplines, including the sociology of religion, cultural anthropology, Islamic studies, peace studies, and other social sciences and humanities. The journal is published twice a year, every April and October, and accepts manuscripts in English.
