Tabéq publishes scholarly works that examine the intersection of religion, culture, and society through an interdisciplinary, evidence-based, and peace-oriented approach. This journal offers a platform for research on local wisdom, beliefs/religion, and socio-cultural practices that foster coexistence, dialogue, and reconciliation in pluralistic societies. Topics covered include (but are not limited to): sociology of religion and religious practices; cultural anthropology and ritual ethnography; interfaith cross-faith dialogue and cooperation; indigenous knowledge, local traditions, and ritual performativity; religion and social transformation, including peacebuilding, mediation, and conflict resolution; comparative religious studies; religion in the public sphere and politics; contemporary religious movements and community responses; religious education, diversity literacy, and pluralism; and gender and identity dimensions in cultural contexts.
The journal accepts empirical research articles (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods), conceptual and theoretical reviews, case studies, ethnographies, systematic literature reviews/scoping reviews, and research-based policy briefs. Manuscripts that integrate perspectives from Islamic studies, theology, anthropology, sociology, peace studies, law, education, cultural studies, and related disciplines are highly encouraged. The geographical focus is global with a particular emphasis on local community contexts, especially Southeast Asia, the Indonesian archipelago, and regions facing the dynamics of diversity. All manuscripts must demonstrate clear scientific contributions, methodological rigour, ethical sensitivity, and theoretical and practical implications for strengthening local wisdom, interfaith dialogue, and peace ecology. All manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process in accordance with the standards of nationally and internationally accredited journals.
